Gwendolijn Boonekamp

Gwendolijn Boonekamp is a prominent academic and health promotion specialist with extensive experience in education and research. Since August 2005, Gwendolijn has served as a Senior Lecturer in Health Promotion at HAN University of Applied Sciences, while also contributing as a promovenda at the Lectoraat Versterken van Sociale Kwaliteit since September 2017. Gwendolijn holds the position of External Researcher PhD Candidate at the University of Alicante from August 2016. Previous roles include Senior Project Leader at NOC*NSF (1999-2005), Programming Coordinator for Health at Stichting Jeugd in Beweging (1999-2001), and various research and lecturing positions at IVESP and WHO from 1992 to 1998. Gwendolijn obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences from Universitat d'Alacant in 2022 and holds a Master’s Degree in Huishoudwetenschappen from Wageningen University & Research.
