Jose Maria Fernandez Gil

Jose Maria Fernandez Gil is a seasoned professional in digital accessibility and software development, currently serving as the Responsable de la Unidad de Accesibilidad Digital at Universidad de Alicante since September 2018. In addition to this role, Jose has been a Professor at the same university since October 2008, teaching over 30 courses on digital accessibility and inclusive technologies. Jose's expertise includes creating accessible electronic documents, web accessibility, and developing accessible teaching materials. Prior to this, Jose served as a mobile device developer at GognaTec and as a software developer and research intern, focusing on web applications using Groovy & Grails, Java, and PHP, along with Linux server administration. Jose holds a Master's degree in web application and service development, a specialist degree in mobile application development, and a Technical Engineering degree in Computer Systems from Universitat d'Alacant.
