Sergio Cuenca Asensi

Sergio Cuenca Asensi is a Full Professor at the University of Alicante since July 2019, previously serving as Associate Professor from June 2004 to 2018, where notable roles included Director of the University Institute of Computer Research and Director of the Master's Program in Computer Technologies. Sergio has led various national and international research projects in collaboration with countries in Latin America and coordinated undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as Computer Architecture, Computer Vision, Embedded Systems, and FPGA Design. Prior to academia, Sergio worked as a Hardware Engineer at INISEL S.A., contributing to the design of the Eurofighter 2000's Front-Computer. Educational qualifications include a degree in Physics with a focus on Electronics from the University of Granada and a further study at Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche.
