Christine Boehler

Christine Boehler is an accomplished academic and arts professional with extensive experience in contemporary arts, culture, and education. Currently serving as an Associate Professorin and Lecturer at the University of Applied Arts Vienna since July 2017, Christine has also been an independent professional at Lichtzeile since March 1996. Previous roles include Director of Development at TBA21 Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary and Director of the Culture Programme at ERSTE Foundation, where Christine established a prominent program focusing on contemporary arts and built an international network across Central and Eastern Europe. Additional experience includes positions at Kontakt. Art Collection, Erste Group Bank AG, Universität Innsbruck, and Literaturhaus Wien. Christine holds a Mag.phil. in Comparative Literature and Romance Studies from the University of Vienna and has studied at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Buchhandlung Tyrolia.
