Julian Chaudhuri

Julian Chaudhuri is an accomplished academic and industry leader currently serving as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education & Global) and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) at the University of Bath since December 2021. Previously, Julian held the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education & Student Experience) at the University of Plymouth from January 2017 to November 2021. As a Founding Director of Cellesce Ltd from November 2013 to November 2021, Julian contributed to the commercialization of organoid models for drug discovery and stratified medicine. Additional roles include Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Informatics at the University of Bradford and various academic positions at the University of Bath, culminating in over two decades at the institution where Julian served as Professor of Biochemical & Biomedical Engineering. Julian began an academic career as a Lecturer at the University of Birmingham from October 1989 to September 1991. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Reading and a BSc(Eng) in Biochemical Engineering from UCL.
