Emma Melia

Emma Melia is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education administration, currently serving as the Director of Operations for the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Birmingham since September 2019. Prior to this role, Emma held numerous positions at the University of Warwick, including Senior Assistant Registrar for Strategic Programme Delivery, where strategic management and program development were central responsibilities. Additional roles at Warwick encompassed space management, timetabling operations, and governance support, alongside managing the Science City Advanced Materials Project to foster economic growth in the West Midlands. Earlier professional experience included a business development role at Coventry City Council and project management with Warwick Ventures, as well as a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Warwick.
