Laila Samy Ibrahim is a dedicated and innovative leader currently serving as the Chair of Marketing for the Student Association at the University of Birmingham Dubai. Her extensive experience includes founding the UOBD Peer-Mentoring Program to support first-year students, managing the social media presence for the ACM chapter, and co-founding ByteSize Magazine, a platform focusing on artificial intelligence and technology discourse. Laila is also involved in multiple internships, including a Research Internship at Google DeepMind and positions at the Virtual Reality Lab and for the Roads and Transport Authority. As a Computer Science Student Ambassador, Laila advocates for prospective students, while also mentoring peers through Zero Gravity. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering, Laila combines academic excellence with a commitment to community engagement and student support.
