Mohammad Shahabuddin

Mohammad Shahabuddin is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in International Law and Human Rights. Currently serving as a Professor at the University of Birmingham since September 2016, previous roles include Reader and Senior Lecturer in Law, as well as a Lecturer in Law at Keele University from 2014 to 2016. Shahabuddin has also held positions as a Visiting Research Fellow and Professor at Yokohama National University and was the Founding Chair of the Department of Law & Justice at Jahangirnagar University. Additionally, Shahabuddin contributed as Research Director at the Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs and served as a National Consultant for UNDP. Educational background includes a PhD in International Law from SOAS, University of London, and an MA in International Law from Yokohama National University, among other qualifications in law and human rights.
