Monelle Garber

Student Experience Ambassador at University of Birmingham

Monelle Garber currently serves as the President of the International Development Society at the University of Birmingham, overseeing committee management and the execution of society activities. Additionally, Monelle acts as an EDI Student Ambassador, promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives while facilitating discussions about equality and representation. As an International Development Student Representative, Monelle liaises between students and academic authorities to address concerns regarding the educational experience. Monelle is also involved in the Uni-Connect mentorship programme, aiming to support underrepresented students in higher education. Previous experience includes roles as a Co-Founder of an Amnesty International student society and Chair of the UN Human Rights Council at the Model United Nations Côte D’ivoire. Monelle is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Development and Relations, building on prior A-level education in Sociology, Psychology, and Economics.
