Yali Pan is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Birmingham since August 2018, focusing on developing new research in reading and utilizing MEG and eye-tracking technology to study attention shifts during natural reading. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Fellow and PhD Researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences from May 2013 to July 2018, where Yali investigated neuronal oscillations in visual working memory, designed experiments for EEG studies, and collaborated with hospitals for iEEG data collection. Additionally, Yali held the position of Laboratory Manager, overseeing lab operations and coordinating research projects. Earlier roles include Chairperson of the Psychology Association at China Women's University and various internships related to psychology and research. Yali holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Bachelor of Education in Applied Psychology from China Women's University.
