Roshan Weerasekera

Roshan Weerasekera is a Deputy Director of Postgraduate Taught Programmes and Senior Lecturer in Microelectronics at the University of Bristol since October 2022, with extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. Prior roles include Programme Director for BEng/MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Innovation and Senior Lecturer at the University of the West of England since May 2016, where Roshan focuses on the design and implementation of high-performance, energy-efficient electronic systems. Previous positions encompass work as a Research Scientist at IME, A-STAR, and a Research Associate at Lancaster University on projects related to 3D integration technology. With a solid educational background including a PhD in Electronic System Design from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a BScEng from the University of Peradeniya, Roshan has also contributed to teaching a range of engineering courses throughout a career spanning multiple institutions and research initiatives.
