Jalal Kawash

Jalal Kawash is a prominent academic in the field of computer science, currently serving as a Professor (Teaching) and holding leadership roles, including Interim Associate Head for Undergraduate Studies and Associate Head for Teaching, Learning, and Student Engagement at the University of Calgary since September 2008. Kawash previously contributed as an Associate Professor at the American University of Sharjah from 2002 to 2008. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Distributed Systems from the University of Calgary, an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Lebanese American University, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut. Additionally, Kawash obtained a Certificate of Spanish Culture and Language from the University of Calgary between 2017 and 2020.
