Paola Meza Santoscoy is a Research Associate in the Alberta Children's Epilepsy Program at the University of Calgary since February 2016, working under Dr. Julia Jacobs-LeVan as a Study Coordinator on various clinical research projects. Previously, Paola served as a Postdoctoral Scholar in Dr. Deborah Kurrasch’s laboratory and as a Research Associate and PhD student in Dr. Vincent Cunliffe’s laboratory at the University of Sheffield. Earlier teaching roles include Chemistry Teacher at Universidad del Valle de México and English and Physiology Teacher at Escuela de Estudios Superiores en Medicinas Alternativas y Complementarias MASHACH A.C. Paola earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Sheffield, complemented by an MSc in Biomedical Science focusing on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, and a BSc(Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla.
