Rand al-Hashmy

Rand Al-Hashmy is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in higher education and community engagement. Currently serving as Senior Specialist in Strategic Marketing and Communications at the University of Calgary since January 2020, Rand previously held roles such as Communications Specialist in Knowledge Engagement and Marketing & Communications Advisor. Additional experience includes positions as Marketing Coordinator at Selkirk College, Marketing Specialist at Trico Homes, and Refugee Resettlement Counsellor at the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society. Rand began a career at the University of Calgary in various capacities within leadership and student engagement. Rand holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the Haskayne School of Business.
