Shelley Alexander

Shelley Alexander, MSc, currently serves as a Senior Program Officer and Policy Analyst at Natural Resources Canada since February 2021. In parallel, Shelley is pursuing a Master's thesis at the University of Calgary, focusing on hydrogeology and community engagement with Indigenous populations regarding drinking water quality. Shelley has contributed as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant in various geoscience courses and has experience as an Indigenous Mental Wellness Program Assistant, promoting wellness for Indigenous students. Prior roles at Imperial Oil included Indigenous Relations Coordinator, and previous positions at the City of Calgary encompassed strategic analysis, environmental reporting, and operational support across multiple departments. Shelley holds a Master's degree in Geoscience and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Calgary, along with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Toronto.
