Trevor Poffenroth

Trevor Poffenroth is an experienced information technology executive, currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at the University of Calgary since July 2017, with prior roles such as Interim CIO and Senior Director and Chief Technology Officer. Trevor has a strong background in IT infrastructure management from positions held at Repsol, Talisman Energy, Shaw Communications, and Sherritt International, demonstrating expertise in budget control, team management, and disaster recovery planning. Notable achievements include successfully transitioning shared IT services into Talisman Energy and effectively managing various infrastructure teams. Trevor holds a Bachelor of Science in Archaeology from the University of Calgary, along with multiple certifications in IT and project management, and is currently pursuing an Institute of Corporate Directors designation at the University of Toronto.
