Guanshui Xu is a distinguished academic and industry leader currently serving as a Professor and Department Chair at the University of California, Riverside since 2021. With extensive experience in engineering, Guanshui Xu founded and presides over FrackOptima Inc. since 2013. Previous roles include serving as a Project Engineer at TerraTek, Inc. from 1995 to 1998 and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1993 to 1995. Guanshui Xu holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Brown University, obtained between 1989 and 1993, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China, earned from 1981 to 1986.
