Joshua Carter

Joshua Carter currently serves as Chief of Staff for University Advancement at the University of California, Riverside since September 2022. Prior experience includes roles such as Associate Vice President for Advancement Administration and Chief Annual Giving Officer at Morehouse College, where Joshua managed multiple departmental teams and oversaw a significant budget while contributing to a $500 million campaign. With a strong background in annual giving strategies, Joshua has successfully raised millions through innovative fundraising initiatives and digital engagement strategies. Previous positions also include roles at Emory University, Omaha Symphony, and other organizations, where Joshua focused on donor engagement, campaign management, and building sustainable donor pipelines. Joshua holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Production Studies in Performing Arts from Clemson University.
