Rodolfo Torres is currently the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development at University of California, Riverside. Dr. Torres has been a University Distinguished Professor at The University of Kansas from August 1996 to August 2019. Prior to that, they were a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan from August 1992 to August 1996. Rodolfo also spent two years as a Visiting Member at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences from August 1990 to August 1992. Dr. Torres began their academic career as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Washington University in St. Louis from August 1989 to August 1990.

Rodolfo Torres received their Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis.
