Vanessa Torrez

Vanessa Torrez is an experienced talent management professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Talent Management at the University of California, Riverside since May 2018. In this role, Vanessa executes a comprehensive talent management strategy to align with organizational objectives, focusing on talent acquisition, candidate pipeline development, employee engagement, and onboarding programs. Prior to this position, Vanessa worked as a Talent Acquisition Recruiter and Coordinator at Intuit from August 2014 to 2018, supporting the Turbo Tax team with pre-hire and onboarding processes. Vanessa began their career at Best Buy, where from 2010 to 2014, Vanessa managed HR responsibilities as a Human Resources Lead and previously served as a Hiring Coordinator/Administrative Senior. Vanessa holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of La Verne and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside.
