Darren Dumlao currently serves as the Director of the Quantitative Metabolite Analysis Center at the University of California, San Francisco, since May 2023. Previously, Dumlao held the position of Principal Scientist at Impossible Foods from December 2020 to February 2023, focusing on metabolomics, lipidomics, and fluxomics analysis. An Applications Scientist at SCIEX from November 2018 to November 2020, Dumlao demonstrated LC/MS/MS systems and provided customer training and support. At Pfizer, between April 2014 and July 2018, Dumlao advanced the Integrated Metabolomics platform and contributed to multiple projects in immunometabolism and oncology. Earlier experience includes roles as a Mass Spectrometry Scientist I at The Jackson Laboratory and an Assistant Project Scientist at the University of California, San Diego. Dumlao earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCLA in 2007.
