Adam Reid is an accomplished bioinformatician currently serving as the Head of Bioinformatics at the University of Cambridge since October 2021. Prior to this role, Adam was a Senior Staff Scientist at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute from 2009 to October 2021, where Adam's research focused on parasite genomics. Adam also held the position of Staff Scientist and worked as a PostDoc in Comparative Genomics, specifically on the genome of Neospora caninum, an apicomplexan parasite. Adam's academic background includes a PhD in Bioinformatics from University College London, where Adam was a PhD student specializing in computational biology. Earlier in Adam's career, experience as a Proteomics Bioinformatician at AstraZeneca was gained in 2004-2005.
