Alper Akay serves as a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow, Group Leader, and Lecturer at the University of East Anglia since October 2019, focusing on RNA biology, modifications, and genetics using C. elegans. Additionally, Alper has been a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Gurdon Institute since August 2012, investigating the regulation of gene expression by small non-coding RNAs and RNA modifications, as well as their implications for cell proliferation, differentiation, and animal development.
