Alexander N. Chen serves as a Professor of Management at the University of Central Arkansas since January 2012, focusing on Principles of Management, Organizational Behavior, and International Business, while also chairing a doctoral student project on Minority Entrepreneurs in Arkansas. Prior to this, from 2010 to 2011, Alexander held the position of Associate Vice President for International Engagement, where notable achievements included developing a Global Educational Project that brought significant revenue to the university. Alexander has also contributed to academic leadership at the Macau University of Science and Technology as the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Humanity and Arts, establishing new programs and overseeing multiple departments as Registrar and Dean of General Studies. Earlier roles included Associate Vice Chancellor for International Programs at UNC Pembroke and faculty at Penn State Altoona Campus, where Alexander received multiple awards for teaching and research. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Rural Sociology and two Master's Degrees from Penn State University, alongside a Bachelor's degree from National Taiwan University.
