Athena Hoeppner

Athena Hoeppner is a seasoned university librarian with extensive experience at the University of Central Florida since 1995. Athena currently holds the position of University Librarian and Discovery Services Librarian, focusing on the development and enhancement of technology and services for the seamless discovery of electronic resources while continuously improving user experience. Previous roles at UCF include Associate Librarian and Electronic Resources Librarian, managing a substantial budget for eResources and maintaining access systems. Additionally, Athena serves as the UCF representative on various committees for the Florida Academic Library Services Cooperative and has experience as a temporary Reference Librarian at Northern State University. Athena's educational background includes a Master of Library and Information Science from Simmons University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Colorado State University.
