Phil Bridgmon

Before becoming the Provost & VP for Academic Affairs at University of Central Missouri, Phil Bridgmon served as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs at Arkansas Tech University from January 2017 to December 2019. Prior to that, they were Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Northeastern State University from January 2012 to December 2017. Bridgmon has also held positions as Professor and Chair at the University of North Alabama from January 2004 to December 2012 and as Assistant Professor at James Madison University from January 2002 to December 2004.

Phil Bridgmon earned their Ph.D. in Political Science from The University of Alabama and their B.S. in Psychology from University of North Alabama.

Phil Bridgmon reports to Roger Best, University President. Phil Bridgmon works with Courtney Goddard - VP for Advancement & External Engagement, Executive Director for UCM Alumni Foundation, Lindsay Chapman - General Counsel, and Bill Hawley - VP for Finance & Operations.
