Scott Alvested is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement and communications. Currently serving as the Community Engagement Coordinator at KMOS-TV, University of Central Missouri, since March 2020, Scott creates and manages community engagement strategies aligned with the PBS educational mission. Prior roles include Community Outreach Coordinator and Public Information Officer at Johnson County Community Health Services, where Scott led communication efforts and fostered community partnerships, as well as Manager of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving at Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City, overseeing development operations. Scott's earlier experience includes roles at University of Central Missouri, Comcast, Gateway, and KMXV 93.3 FM, contributing to marketing and promotions. Scott holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Central Missouri.
