Scott Jones

Scott Jones is an experienced cybersecurity and compliance professional currently serving as Adjunct Faculty in the cybersecurity program at the University of Charleston and as Compliance Manager at Variphy, Inc. Since April 2023, Scott has led the development of security and privacy functions within the organization. Prior to Variphy, Scott held significant roles including Security Standards and Compliance Manager at Crown Castle, where Scott established a Governance, Risk, and Compliance function, and Cybersecurity Advisor at FedEx, leading initiatives for security automation and compliance audits. Scott's extensive background includes network architecture and engineering roles at multiple organizations, along with active participation in cybersecurity standards development and training. Scott holds advanced degrees in cybersecurity, management, and information technology security from Western Governors University.
