Yong-Gyun Ghim

Yong-Gyun Ghim is an accomplished industrial designer currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Industrial Design at the University of Cincinnati since August 2019. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Industrial Designer at Midea Group, where significant contributions were made to the re-launch of the Eureka brand in the US market and enhancements in product designs that led to substantial sales increases. Previously, Yong-Gyun worked at LG Electronics for eight years, advancing from Senior Industrial Designer to managing vacuum cleaner design projects and developing innovative concepts for cleaning robots. Yong-Gyun's early career includes a product design internship at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology. Academically, Yong-Gyun holds an MDes in Human-Centered Product Design from the Institute of Design and dual degrees (MS and BS) in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University.
