Bethany Kwan

Bethany Kwan is an accomplished health services researcher and behavioral scientist currently serving as an Associate Professor and Associate Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus since July 2019. Kwan also holds the title of Associate Professor of Family Medicine. Prior experience includes a role as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver from September 2010 to December 2021. Kwan's research focuses on chronic disease management and prevention services, as well as implementation science, utilizing psychological theory, health care IT, mHealth, and stakeholder engagement methods. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Social Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Colorado Denver, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University.
