John Rush Pierce

John Rush Pierce is an experienced medical professional with a diverse background in clinical practice, education, and public health. Currently serving as a Consultant and Substandard Annuities Underwriter at AIG, Pierce has also established JRP Consulting to offer expertise in life expectancy estimations, disaster preparedness, and population health to various clients. As a Volunteer Faculty member at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, as well as a Volunteer Physician at Doctors Care and Denver Public Health, Pierce contributes to medical education and underserved patient care. Previously, Pierce held significant academic roles at the University of New Mexico and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, overseeing faculty development and providing direct patient care. With a strong foundation in public health as the Local Public Health Authority in Amarillo and a history of leadership in preventive medicine, Pierce continues to influence the medical community through coaching, mentorship, and direct involvement in patient care and education.
