Adam Thiesen

Adam Thiesen is an MD/PhD candidate at the University of Connecticut since July 2020, concurrently serving as a Research Technician II at Mass General Hospital/Harvard University, where research focuses on developing therapeutic alternatives to opioids and analyzing next-generation sequencing data using Python and AWS. Thiesen has also been a Research Intern at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center since June 2017, working on cell cycle and replication projects in yeast. Additional experience includes roles as a Community Health and Fitness Researcher at Occidental College, a Research Technician at Fred Hutch, and a Cope Health Scholar at Glendale Adventist Medical Center. Thiesen's academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Occidental College.
