Darrell Irwin

Darrell Irwin currently serves as a Research Professor at the University of Connecticut and as the Research and Development Director at DISC Services & Consulting, LLC. With extensive experience in academia, Darrell has held positions such as Distinguished Professor and Graduate Faculty at Central China Normal University, where supervision of international Sociology dissertations occurs. As a consultant for the American Council on Education, assistance is provided in evaluating non-academic courses for college credit. Previously, Darrell was a Dean at Central China Normal University, overseeing significant academic programs and staff, and a Professor of Sociology and Criminology at UNC Wilmington. Early career highlights include a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Development and Research Institutes, and teaching roles at St. John's University and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Darrell holds a PhD from Loyola University Chicago and a BA in Sociology and Latin American Studies from the University of Florida.
