Mazdak Mina has extensive experience in research and engineering, currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut since August 2019, while pursuing a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Previously, Mazdak gained valuable experience as a Graduate Student and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University from August 2017 to May 2019, as well as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Iowa State University in late 2017. A background in practical engineering is evident from time as a Field Engineer at Halliburton from June 2013 to May 2015, where responsibilities included designing and running laboratory tests for cement used in oilfield wells. Additionally, Mazdak has a strong commitment to coaching, demonstrated through various roles at Ames Soccer Club, ranging from Academy Coach to Head Coach of the U11 Girls team. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Science in Safety Engineering from Texas A&M University.
