Natalia V. Smirnova is an accomplished academic and consultant with extensive experience in economics and education. Currently serving as an Associate Professor in Residence at the University of Connecticut since August 2018, Natalia previously held the position of Assistant Professor in Residence and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals. As the Founder and Principal of YouCount! since November 2017, Natalia provides economic and financial literacy consultancy for various educational and outreach sectors. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Education and Senior Research Fellow at the American Institute for Economic Research from 2013 to 2017, and as Associate Professor with Tenure at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Additionally, Natalia has a strong background in economic analysis from a role as Supervising Analyst at the New York City Office of Management and Budget from 2001 to 2005. An accomplished scholar, Natalia holds multiple degrees in economics and statistics from institutions in the United States and Russia.
