Jesper Grodal

Jesper Grodal is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Copenhagen, where Jesper also serves as the Head of Section for Algebra & Geometry in the Department of Mathematical Sciences and participates as an elected Board Member. Grodal has held several prestigious visiting positions at institutions such as the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, the Institute for Advanced Study, and the University of Cambridge. Grodal's academic journey includes foundational studies at the University of Copenhagen, where a Cand.Scient. degree in Mathematics was earned, followed by a PhD in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently, Grodal directs the DNRF Centre for Symmetry and Deformation, contributing significantly to the field of mathematics through research and leadership.
