LaShawnda Boykin

Manager, Budgeting and Planning at University of Dallas

LaShawnda Boykin is the current Manager of Budgeting and Planning at the University of Dallas. LaShawnda has extensive experience in financial management, resource analysis, and budgeting with over twenty years in the field.

LaShawnda began their career in 1999 as a Travel Accounting and Travel Pay Specialist in the United States Air Force. In 2002, they were promoted to Military Pay Lead and then to Resource Advisor in 2004. From 2005 to 2007, they served as Budget Analyst and Pay/Travel Supervisor before being promoted to Customer Liaison Manager.

In 2011, LaShawnda returned to the Air Force as a Budget Analyst/Group Resource Advisor. LaShawnda was promoted to Finance Officer in 2014 and then to Chief, Financial Analysis and Mission Support Group Resource Advisor in 2016. LaShawnda left the Air Force in 2017 to join the University of Dallas as their Budget and Planning Manager, a position they have held for the past three years.

LaShawnda Boykin has obtained a Master of Science in Applied Business Analytics from American Public University System, a Bachelor of Business Administration from American Military University, and an Associate of Science in Finance and Financial Management Services from the Community College of the Air Force. LaShawnda also holds a Professional Manager Certification from the Community College of the Air Force and a DoD Financial Manager Level 2 Certification from the United States Department of Defense.

LaShawnda Boykin reports to Robert Watling, Chief Financial Officer. They are on a team with Beth Klunder - Controller, Scott Salzman - Bursar.
