Russell Green

Chief of Police, Campus Police Department at University of Dallas

Russell Green has been in law enforcement for over two decades. Russell started their career with the City of Arlington in 1994 as a patrol officer. Russell was quickly promoted to police lieutenant and given command of the jail, municipal court security, warrant unit, and city council security. In January 2018, they were hired as the chief of police for the Campus Police Department at the University of Dallas.

Russell Green has a CPM from Texas State University in Public Administration, a BS from Le Moyne College in Business Administration, and Graduate Certifications in Change Management and Human Resource Management from Amberton University. Russell also has a Master of Arts in Business and Policy Studies from SUNY Empire State College and a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership from Amberton University. In addition, they are certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement as a Master Peace Officer, Mental Health Peace Officer, and Police Instructor.

They are on a team with Jim McGovern - Director, Facilities Structural Crafts, Dawn Avery - Manager, Printing and Postal, and Kelly O’Neal - Manager, Conference & Event Services. Russell Green reports to John Plotts, EVP.
