Steve Kendig

Steve Kendig serves as the Executive Director of Energy Utilization & Environmental Sustainability at the University of Dayton since March 2012, leading efforts in energy efficiency and sustainability across campus facilities. Prior to this role, Steve worked as an Outreach Account Manager at KEMA Services, educating utility customers on energy-saving incentives. As Engineering Service Manager at Serco Inc, Steve developed a gas and electric distribution design department, achieving significant revenue growth. Steve's earlier experience includes roles at Dayton Power and Light, where responsibilities encompassed managing transmission operations and maintaining high safety standards, as well as serving as a Foreman at Asplundh Tree Expert Co., ensuring crew safety for over eight years. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix and an Associate Degree in Electric Distribution from Sinclair Community College.
