Troy Washington

VP for Human Resources at University of Dayton

Troy Washington is currently the Vice President for Human Resources at the University of Dayton. Troy has been with the university since 2001, serving as the Director of Employee Relations. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the employee relations staff, providing sound labor relations advice and counsel, and ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. Troy also worked with the University's Affirmative Action Officer to implement the University's Affirmative Action program. In 2009, they were promoted to their current position. As Vice President for Human Resources, they are responsible for the overall direction of HR strategy at the University of Dayton.

Troy Washington graduated from Grove City High School and then went on to Wright State University where they earned their BA in Economics. Troy continued their education at the University of Dayton, earning a Masters Certificate in Emerging Leader. Troy is also certified by SHRM in SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and SHRM-CP.

They are on a team with Jennifer Howe - Vice President for University Advancement, Tom Weckesser - Executive Director, Office of the President, and John Leland - Vice President for Research & Executive Director of UDRI. Their manager is Eric F. Spina, President & Board Member. and Tiffany Taylor Smith - VP, Diversity & Inclusion reports to Troy Washington.
