John Slater

John Slater is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Delaware, where John has been working since 2013, also serving as Affiliated Faculty in the Materials Science & Engineering department and the Delaware Biotechnology Institute. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at Duke University and a NIH and HHMI postdoctoral fellowship at Rice University, focusing on nanobiology and biofunctional materials. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, complemented by various fellowships and research roles throughout his career, specializing in laser scanning lithography and nanopatterning techniques.
