Somya Malik

Somya Malik is an experienced professional in the field of archives and museology, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Archives and Museology at the Asiatic Society for Social Science Research since May 2022. Somya is also a Doctoral Research Scholar at Delhi University, focusing on the history of collection and documentation of objects in colonial and post-colonial museums. Involved in various committees at the Department of History, University of Delhi, Somya manages the Seminar Committee and the Website Committee. Prior roles include working as a Museum Research and Relations Executive at 3D Paradise, Museum Assistant and Research Assistant at the National Museum, New Delhi, and a History Researcher Consultant for Tagbin. Somya holds a Master's degree in Museology from the National Museum Institute and a Bachelor's degree in History from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi.
