Joel Gallihugh

Joel Gallihugh has been working in public safety for over 20 years. Joel began their career as a community service officer and then became a police officer at the University of Detroit Mercy. Joel was promoted to sergeant and then lieutenant before becoming the director of public safety in 2006. Gallihugh has also served in the United States Air Force Reserves and the United States Air Force, where they held various positions in security forces.

Joel Gallihugh has a BS in Criminal Justice from the University of Detroit Mercy.

They are on a team with Katherine Snyder - Dean, College of Engineering & Science, Netina Anding-Moore - AVP for Human Resources, and Edward G. Tracy II - AVP for Information Technology. Joel Gallihugh reports to Antoine M. Garibaldi, President.
