Gabriela Mol Avelar

Gabriela Mol Avelar is a highly experienced researcher in the field of biochemistry, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Dundee since November 2019. Previously, Gabriela held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen from March 2015 to August 2019, focusing on the influences of nutritional metabolism in the pathogenesis of Candida albicans. Gabriela's academic journey includes a PhD in Biochemistry from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, completed in 2014, and a Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, earned in 2008. The doctoral research was supported by a fellowship from the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) during the tenure at the Institute of Chemistry - University of São Paulo from 2009 to 2014.
