Ciro Genovese

Ciro Genovese is an experienced educator currently serving as the Head of Department - Education and Head of Teacher Education at the University of East London since September 2023. Ciro also holds the position of External Examiner at the University of Roehampton, focusing on NPQ provision. Prior experience includes significant roles at Canterbury Christ Church University, where Ciro was Associate Head of School (Partnerships) and held various leadership positions from January 2009 to August 2023. Ciro has also contributed as an External Examiner at the University of Reading and as Chief External Examiner at the University of Warwick. Previous teaching roles include Head of Religious Education at St Clement Danes School and religion instructor at Clackamas Community College. Ciro’s educational background includes a PGCE in Religious Education and an MA in Theological Education from King's College London, along with a BA in Theology & Religious Studies from the University of Roehampton.
