Rob Mitchell

Rob Mitchell is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in higher education and digital media. Since 2003, Rob has served as the Assistant Director of Communications at the University of Exeter, overseeing strategic communication initiatives and leading a team of over 70 specialists. Previous roles include Web Editor and Head of Digital at the University of Exeter and Web Administrator at the University of Manchester, where Rob established the institution’s first full web presence. Additionally, Rob worked as a Music and TV writer for The Big Issue in the North from 1993 to 2006. Rob holds an MBA from the University of Exeter and a Level 7 Senior Leader Degree Apprenticeship from the Chartered Management Institute, complemented by a degree in Colour Chemistry from the University of Leeds.
