Richard Shambare

Richard Shambare is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in higher education leadership and teaching. Currently serving as Dean at the University of Fort Hare since January 2023, Richard previously held the position of Deputy Dean: Teaching & Learning at the University of the Western Cape from February 2019 to December 2022, along with roles as Professor and Associate Professor. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the University of Venda from January 2016 to January 2019, and as a Senior Lecturer at Tshwane University of Technology from July 2008 to December 2015. Richard's educational background includes a Doctorate in Business Administration from Tshwane University of Technology, a Master of Technology in Microfinance and Marketing from the same institution, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of Zimbabwe.
