Mehmet Dasdemir

Mehmet Dasdemir is a professional with extensive experience in research and product development in the field of nonwovens and polymers. Currently serving as the Director of Product Development at The Nonwovens Institute since October 2021, Mehmet leads sponsored product development projects and advocates for NWI-developed products. In addition, Mehmet holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Gaziantep since January 2012, where significant contributions include conducting research, publishing findings, and managing federally or university-funded projects. Prior roles include Visiting Research Associate Professor, Research Scientist, and various academic positions where a focus on biopolymers and nanotechnology has been prominent. Mehmet's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Fiber and Polymer Science from North Carolina State University, achieved between August 2007 and July 2011.
