Arnold Kłonczyński

Vice-Rector for Students & Education Quality at University of Gdansk

Dr Hab. Arnold Kłonczyński, Prof. UG. He was born in 1967, he is a historian, specialist in the history of Sweden in the twentieth century, Polish-Swedish relations and the history of the Polish community in Scandinavia in the twentieth century, as well as Polish and Scandinavian didactics of history and knowledge about society.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of History at the University of Gdańsk. Since 2001, he has been associated with the University of Gdańsk: as an assistant (2001-2005), assistant professor (2005-2013) and associate professor (since 2013). Researcher at the Institute of History of the University of Gdańsk, in the years 2012-2016 Vice-Dean for Education and Students of the Faculty of History of the University of Gdańsk, responsible, inter alia, for the quality of education, creating new educational programs, student matters (social, organizational and scientific), supervision of student exchange, and research clubs. Head of Postgraduate Studies in History (2011-2012), co-organizer of a number of conferences organized by student research clubs of the Faculty of History, supervisor of the Science Club of History Students (2012-2016), initiator and coordinator of the Faculty of History's cooperation with stakeholders (high schools, middle schools, Emigration Museum, Museum of the City of Sopot and others), member of the Program Council at the Institute of History of the University of Gdańsk. Author of several books and about 60 scientific articles.
