Haitham Shaban is a Research Group Leader at the University of Geneva since July 2023, focusing on using chromatin features from cancer and immune cells in human patient samples as predictive biomarkers for cancer diagnostics and immunotherapy response. Concurrently, Haitham serves as an Associate Professor at the National Research Center (on leave) and was a Senior Research Fellow at CHUV | Lausanne University Hospital. Previous experience includes roles as a Marie-Curie Research Fellow at EPFL, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Harvard University and CNRS, and a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. Haitham's educational background includes dual PhDs in Physics and Biophysics from Aix-Marseille University and Università degli Studi di Firenze, respectively, alongside a Master's degree in Biophysics from Al-Azhar University.
